The artists Jalda and Anna live together in Berlin. They are Jews of the first generation after Shoah. When Jalda und Anna meet for the first time in the 1990ies, both had hit rock bottom in their respective lives. Together they embarked upon the long journey to a new, joyous contact with their Jewish heritage. Jalda is one of few female Jewish hazzans (cantor) in Germany. She founded a Jewish community based on an egalitarian concept, breaks with old-fashioned rites and creates new ones.
